Which Countries Will Directly Adopt the Dutch FSD Approval?
Updated: April 14, 2026
On April 10, 2026 the Netherlandsโ RDW became the first EU country to grant official type approval for Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
While an EU-wide vote could happen as soon as May/June at the Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles (TCMV), in the meantime, every single EU member state can now recognize the Dutch approval nationally via mutual recognition – no full re-testing required.
Enthusiasts on X have been flooding national regulators with questions, and the responses have been encouraging.
