Tesla FSD Supervised in the UAE: Dubai Mobility Labs and Current Outlook
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, with DIEZ, opened Dubai Mobility Labs at Dubai Silicon Oasis on 27 September 2026. The site is meant to test and certify autonomous and future-mobility systems before wider use on Dubai roads.
The facility covers 248 test scenarios across controlled tracks and public-road running toward Al Qudra. RTA says it has already hosted trials involving WeRide, Pony.ai and Tesla. DEKRA will operate the labs for the first three years.
This supports Dubai's Smart Self-Driving Transport Strategy, which aims for 25% of mobility journeys in the emirate to be autonomous by 2030. Tesla FSD Supervised for owners is still under RTA review - lab trials are not the same as a public feature release. Supervised target remains within 2026, timeline not fixed.
